Each One Educate One Foundation

logo

Each One Educate One (E1E1) is an initiative to bring quality education to Rural India. It is anchored in the ideal of education as a service to society and every individual in society as a stakeholder in rendering this service. The E1E1 programme is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children who would otherwise have little access to education and help break their inter-generational cycle of poverty, myths, and social evils

Sustainability

  • Each One Educate One is founded by the alumni and alumnae of the various Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions, who have been beneficiaries of a unique form of integral values-based education themselves. They have stepped forward to pass on this advantage of values-based free education to the next generation of children
  • Today, the education of around 2,147 students is being funded through this programme. The plan for the upcoming academic year (2022-23) is to extend the gift of education to 5,000 students
  • The initiative currently helps fund the running of the network of schools under the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust and Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust
  • While the Each One Educate One platform was founded and is managed by the alumni and alumnae community, today many more have joined this cause and are volunteering their time and resources to the cause of education, making this a truly ‘people’s movement’
  • Below diagram represents the augmenting trend of the E1E1 initiative, clearly spreading its wings every year

One Nation Foundation

One Nation is a platform for luminaries who have committed their lives to solving social challenges. Conceptualised in 2016, One Nation aims to bring together visionary social leaders and senior corporate professionals to collaborate towards building a strong, and prosperous nation. It is a people’s movement to build the nation by the people, of the people, and for the people. There are hundreds of individuals who are selflessly, arduously, and devotedly working at the grass root level, uplifting the society in some way or the other, be it health, education, water, sanitation, environment, moral, social or any other social cause. However, when like minded individuals collaborate on issues they are passionate about, and when they come together under one thought – the unity of thought that India is One Nation and that the issues plaguing every corner of the country is equally important – then together the impact created is much greater and a lot more far fetched than an individual’s effort, no matter how big or small! One Nation Foundation was set up in 2018 to monitor the activities and embrace larger initiatives, including One Nation Youth, where spirited youth gather their peers from the society and encourage them to serve all.
